After 17 years working in professional sports, Andre Luck saw a gap.
Sports organizations know how to sell their teams. But when it comes to B2B sales, telling a compelling business story to a CEO, president, or sales leader is a different skill entirely.
Andre decided to build around that opportunity.
In this episode of Fourth Quarter Labs, I sit down with Andre, founder of Four Leaf Marketing and Consulting, to talk about his path from selling tickets as a student at Arizona State to leadership roles with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Houston Astros, and Miami Marlins, and eventually making the move into entrepreneurship.
We get into what he learned building and leading sales teams, why he decided to leave the team side of the business, and what it's really like building a company alongside his wife while raising a family.
We also spend time on where sales is headed.
AI is giving salespeople access to more information and more tools than they've ever had. But the technology doesn't replace the fundamentals: understanding the customer, articulating business value, building relationships, and knowing how to actually sell.
Andre has spent his career on both sides of that equation.
This conversation is about sports and sales, but it's also about recognizing an opportunity, trusting your experience, and being willing to build something of your own.
Welcome to Fourth Quarter Labs.
