POV from the #902 Danger Den Racing 2015 Honda Civic LX in Open 2 Wheel Drive Light at the National Auto Sport Association's Sandblast Rally, driven by Jack Pullen and co-driven by Christian LaPrad. Started P24 and second-to-last on the road and DNFed a little over halfway through special stage 1.
Suffering from what seems to be a problem unique to my experience relative to other 9th Civic non-Si owners, our top right (passenger side) engine mount broke a little over halfway through special stage 1 as a result of an harsh 1-2 shift out of a hairpin. This mount breaking resulted in the engine shifting far enough back in the engine bay that the intake tube came off of the throttle body, resulting in the engine shutting itself off for safety. With no quick way to repair the mount or move the engine back to a safe position, we were forced to hand over our time card to sweep and DNF. We'll be commissioning a custom mount that's more durable and will hopefully allow us to finish our next rally!
