Woke up early today hoping to beat the crowd, thinking there wouldn’t be any surf lessons at Inside this early in the morning. Turns out, it was the exact same story as yesterday, but with even more people blocking the lines. The local instructors didn't seem to care if someone was already on the wave—they just pushed their students right in anyway. Having surfed Bali over the last few years, I’ve experienced this kind of situation before. I assumed Lombok would be less crowded and a bit better, but apparently not. I completely understand they’re just trying to make a living, but the collisions in the water are genuinely dangerous and it definitely ruins the surf trip experience.
