90 scripts. 22 shortlisted. And now, just 7 writers remain. What started as an idea to make my own feature film has slowly turned into something much bigger. A few months ago, I announced that I wanted to take the next step in my journey — not just as an actor, but by developing and making a film of my own. I opened submissions for original film scripts, and the response was overwhelming. 90 scripts came in. After reading and evaluating them, 22 writers were shortlisted for online narrations, where I got the opportunity to hear their stories directly from the writers and understand their vision beyond the screenplay. And now, we have reached the next stage. 7 writers have been invited for offline narration. This video takes you inside those narrations — the stories, the writers, the discussions, the questions, the excitement and the uncertainty of trying to find THE story that could eventually become my first feature film. Because making a film doesn't begin on a film set. It begins with an idea. Then comes the screenplay. Then the writer. Then the people who believe in the story enough to bring it to life. From 90 scripts → 22 shortlisted writers → 7 offline narrations, this is another step in my journey towards making my own feature film. I've spent the last 8 years in Mumbai working as an actor across television, films and OTT, and now I'm exploring another side of the filmmaking process — story development, screenplay selection and film production.
