Death ends a life.
It does not end his claim.
To this necromancer, the dead are not sacred.
They are empty.
And empty things obey.
A king can die.
A soldier can fall.
An enemy can choose death rather than surrender.
None of it matters.
If he owned your service while you breathed, the grave does not release you.
If you fought him alive, he can still make your corpse kneel.
Because in his world, death does not decide when something is finished.
He does.
“Death changes nothing.
You’re still mine.”

This song grew from a question I kept coming back to:
What kind of man would look at death itself and see not tragedy, mystery or even power — but an interruption?
I didn’t want a grieving necromancer trying to bring someone back, or a misunderstood man corrupted by magic. I wanted someone morally black who genuinely sees no contradiction in using the dead.
The body is empty.
The work remains.
So he continues it.
🔥 THE DEAD OBEY
