What happens when a random villain tries a classic threat on Adrian? Disasters and Shenanigans CHRONOLOGICAL:    • Disasters and Shenanigans Chronological St...   Disasters and Shenanigans: Featuring the Vanes, Save the Princess, and more    • Disasters and Shenanigans   [Verse 1] You’ve got the armor. You’ve got the flames. You’ve got the speech about ancient claims. You’ve got a fortress, a hundred men, and another monster screaming in the dark again. I’ve fought worse. I’ll fight you too. Then you smiled and said you knew exactly what would make me yield. You’d go after my family. Seriously? [Verse 2] You said you’d find where they reside. You’d break the doors and drag them outside. You’d put them in chains. You’d make them plead. You’re waiting for an answer. You look rather pleased. Am I supposed to—oh! ... Oh. OH. [Chorus — recognition blooms into a grand melodic hook] You’re trying to intimidate me. By threatening my family. That’s your plan. [Pause — slowly nodding] All right. I understand. You think I’ll drop my sword and do whatever you demand. Because otherwise you’ll go after them. Good luck with that. Let me know how it goes. [Verse 3] You said, “They'll never see me coming.” No, I think they will. There’s a very long approach. You’ll be visible from halfway up the hill. You said, “You cannot save them.” Save them? From you? [pause] No, I’m listening. Please continue. I’m trying to imagine your follow through [Pre-Chorus] You said, “Imagine your mother's face when I threaten her." That is an excellent point. And a worrying proposition to be sure. [Chorus — brighter, increasingly incredulous] Oh, you’re trying to intimidate me. By threatening my family. You’re serious. All right. I understand. You’ve mistaken my concern for you for fear of what you’ve planned. I really think you ought to reconsider. No? Good luck with that. Let me know how it goes. [Bridge — conversational over a steady, ominous pulse] You keep saying that I don’t understand. I do. You’ll find my home. You’ll force your way inside. You’ll tell my father that you threatened me to make him comply. [Long pause] And then? [Verse 4 — restrained, matter-of-fact] I’m not laughing. I believe you. You seem very set on this. And I’m certain you’ve frightened people with considerably less. But you keep watching my expression Like I’ve missed my cue. What reaction were you hoping for? [pause] Ah. Well. This must be awkward for you. [Final Chorus — soaring, politely sympathetic] Oh, you were trying to intimidate me. By threatening my family. Now I understand. You thought that you had found a weakness. You thought you had the upper hand. Morally speaking, I should stop you. I was going to anyway. It just turned out I'm saving you today. But if you somehow get away well--Good luck with that. Let me know how it goes.
