Finding information has never been easier. But getting that information into your brain — and making it your own? That's a whole different challenge! We talk about the importance of grappling with information (or "manipulating" it, as has become our shorthand!) and share six investigation techniques we're using with our LiD Questers: 🗂️ Collections — Organise information into categories and build your own collections. 🦸 Heroes — Discover the human stories behind your topic. ⏳ Timelines — Explore how things change over time and connect events. 🗺️ Maps — Find geographical patterns and connections (and make your own ugly map!). 🎨 Touching the Art — Step inside an artwork and discover new questions about your topic. 💰 Follow the Money — Investigate the jobs, businesses, and livelihoods connected to your topic. Along the way, we talk about documentaries, the limitations of AI-generated research, and why creating your own imperfect timeline or map might be more valuable than finding a beautiful, ready-made one.
