A Silent Cry from Upper Siang: Bridging the Digital Divide 📡

A Silent Cry from Upper Siang: Bridging the Digital Divide 📡 The heart of Arunachal Pradesh beats not just in its cities, but in the tranquil, remote corners where our history and culture reside. We want to draw your attention to five such villages in the Upper Siang District: Sibum, Sumsing, Jeru, Padu, and Sille. These communities, nestled in the breathtaking landscape of our state, are geographically so close—mere 30 to 50 kilometers from Pasighat City—yet remain tragically disconnected. The Barrier of Silence and Isolation 💔 Despite their proximity to an urban center, these five villages are facing a profound and isolating challenge: they have absolutely no access to mobile network or internet services. In an age where connectivity is not a luxury but a fundamental necessity for education, healthcare, and economic opportunity, these villages are being left behind. Their students cannot compete, their elders cannot access urgent digital health services, and their youth cannot tap into the digital economy that drives modern India. The reason for this devastating digital void is simple but heartbreaking: Government officials and employees are unwilling to be posted and stay in these areas. An Appeal to Our Shared Responsibility 🙏 We appeal to the State Government of Arunachal Pradesh to recognize this issue not as a mere administrative hurdle, but as a moral imperative. These are our people, our fellow citizens, and their isolation is a stain on our collective progress. We urge you to: Prioritize the installation of essential network and internet infrastructure in Sibum, Sumsing, Jeru, Padu, and Sille. Implement incentive-based policies to encourage and ensure the presence of dedicated government staff who will serve these remote but vital communities. To the people of Arunachal Pradesh, we ask you to lend your voice. Let us work together to ensure that every corner of our beautiful state is connected. Let's bridge this gap so that the young people of Upper Siang can finally join the rest of the world, empowered and connected, proving that no one in Arunachal Pradesh is too remote to be valued. Let's bring the light of the digital age to Sibum, Sumsing, Jeru, Padu, and Sille. 🇮🇳 #aditribe #adivasi #arunachalee
