Everybody quotes "Be still, and know that I am God." Almost nobody reads the two verses above it — where God is breaking bows, shattering spears, and burning chariots. This sentence is not whispered in a quiet room. It is shouted across a battlefield. And it does not mean relax. It means stop fighting. Put the weapon down. I am already handling this. You woke up this morning already braced. Before your feet were on the floor, something in you had taken its position — shoulders up, jaw set, the list running. You are not panicking. You are far past panicking. You are managing, and you have been managing for a long time. Somebody handed you this verse once, on a soft background with a candle in the picture, and it did not help, because it sounded like being told to relax while the house was on fire. This morning we are going to read it where it is actually spoken. In this prayer we bring before God: • The person you have been fighting for — named out loud, and carried into the prayer • The bracing you wake up with before the day has even started • The things you are still gripping that have not won this yet • The storm itself — spoken to, the way Jesus spoke to the sea • The quiet that comes from confidence, not from exhaustion 📖 This prayer ends. Tomorrow morning does not. Three mornings of Rest in His Presence are waiting for you here: https://www.upliftmedianetworks.com/t... 🤍 If you are able to help us keep this prayer going out every morning: https://upliftmedianetworks.gumroad.c...
