The Complete Story of Luke | The Man Who Recorded Jesus’ Life and the Birth of the Church

He never placed himself at the center of the story. His name does not appear in the Gospel he wrote. Yet without his careful investigation and disciplined pen, some of the most beloved passages in all of Scripture would never have reached us. Luke was a physician — a trained observer, a meticulous recorder of detail — who set out to write an orderly account of everything Jesus began to do and teach. Drawing from eyewitness testimony, firsthand travel, and a deep reverence for the Scriptures of Israel, he produced not one but two foundational documents of the Christian faith: the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts. Together, they form a single continuous narrative that moves from the announcement of Jesus’ birth all the way to the proclamation of the gospel in the heart of the Roman Empire. In this video, we trace the complete story of Luke — who he was, how he gathered his sources, why his Gospel gives us the Good Samariatan, the prodigal son, Zacchaeus, the road to Emmaus, and so many other accounts found nowhere else. We examine how Acts picks up exactly where the Gospel ends, following the early church from Jerusalem through Judea, Samaria, and into the wider Gentile world. We explore Luke’s portrait of Jesus as the Son of Man who came to seek and save the lost, his attention to the poor, to women, to outsiders — and the theological thread that ties both books together: the Holy Spirit moving through history to fulfill the promises of God. This is biblical history told with the care it deserves — rooted in Scripture, attentive to context, and faithful to the testimony Luke himself preserved for every generation that followed. #Luke #GospelOfLuke #BookOfActs #BibleHistory #EarlyChurch #NewTestament #BibleStudy #ChristianHistory #JesusChrist #HolySpirit #BiblicalNarrative #Evangelism #ScriptureAndHistory #LukeAndActs #BibleCharacters #ChristianFaith #BiblicalTeaching #SonOfMan #ApostlesPaul #ChurchHistory
