East to West, The Plains to the Rains

In the end of July I spend a night chasing trains on the West Coast. Not to long now before this will all be DM country so it was about time. On the first day we mostly followed 849, but once we go to Stillwater there was a point fault at the Red Jacks loop which caused delays. The next morning we picked up 845 and followed it west till Westport where we decide to have a break and head down to Greymouth. Annoyling once we get there The Tranzapline decides to leave 10 minutes early catching us off graud. The plan was to follow the Apline home but once we got to Otira the road was shut due to snow fall. So that's how it ended. Got to do this at least one more time.
