The prophet Joel said it was coming. Centuries later, Peter stood in Jerusalem and declared, “THIS is THAT.” But what exactly was “THAT”? Joel prophesied: “I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…” Joel 2:28 Then Acts 2 records the fulfilment unfolding before their eyes; the rushing mighty wind, the outpouring of the Holy Ghost, speaking with other tongues, and the proclamation of Jesus Christ. When the crowd asked, “What meaneth THIS?” Peter pointed them back to Joel: “THIS IS THAT which was spoken by the prophet Joel.” Acts 2:16 And Peter didn’t stop with the prophecy. He preached Jesus; crucified, risen, exalted and Lord and Christ. Then the people responded to the Gospel, and about 3,000 souls were added to the 1st century church. This song explores the prophetic journey: Joel 2 → Acts 2 → Pentecost → Jesus Christ proclaimed → the Holy Ghost poured out → souls responding to the Gospel. Joel saw the PROMISE. Peter identified the FULFILMENT. JESUS was PROCLAIMED. The Spirit POURED OUT. And SOULS were SAVED. “THIS IS THAT.” What Joel prophesied centuries before was being witnessed in Jerusalem; and it pointed to the risen and exalted Jesus Christ. Open Joel 2. Open Acts 2. Read the prophecy. Read Peter’s sermon. See how it points to Jesus. The promise of the Holy Ghost still stands and remains for us today: “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts‬ ‭2‬:‭39‬    • THIS IS THAT      • THIS IS THAT: The Finale      • The Spirit Is Still Writing Lives (Acts 29).       • As They Did, So Do We   #ThisIsThat #Joel2 #Acts2 #Pentecost #JesusChrist #HolyGhost #Apostolic #BibleSong #SanJ1
