Liv Dawn - If We Make It (Official Visualiser)

Loch Lomond singer-songwriter Liv Dawn returns with her deeply personal new single, ‘If We Make It’, released 11th September 2026. LISTEN HERE - https://liv-dawn.ffm.to/ifwemakeit Following the success of her recent single Running In The End (released 31st July), Liv Dawn enters a new chapter with ‘If We Make It’ - an intimate and emotional ballad about vulnerability, healing and finding the courage to let someone truly see you. The song explores the fear and uncertainty that comes with allowing another person to see your scars, imperfections and past experiences, while simultaneously yearning for the connection and love that comes with opening yourself up. The imagery of making it to the top of the mountain becomes a metaphor for everything endured along the way: the hope, resilience, vulnerability and feeling of having made it through together. Musically, ‘If We Make It’ takes listeners on an unexpected journey of its own. The track opens as an acoustic ballad, built around soft piano and delicate electric guitar with Liv’s powerful vocals and signature heartfelt lyricism. However, the bridge delivers a twist as the track shifts into a 70s rock-inspired sound, bursting into life with full-band instrumentation, crunchy drums, upbeat piano and acoustic guitar. A bold layering of instruments and a featured guitar solo completely transform the energy of the track, turning the intimate ballad into an uplifting rock moment. This transition marks an exciting evolution in Liv’s sound. Having previously established herself through her emotive songwriting and intimate musical style, ‘If We Make It’ hints at a new musical direction and the beginning of a new chapter. Recorded and mixed at GloWorm Recording Studio with Iain Hutchison, the single features Liv’s live band: Aidan Smith (piano), Chris Gilday (electric guitar) and Calum Macleod (drums).
