Traditional coding jobs—especially entry-level developer roles—are under pressure as AI handles more basic coding, testing, debugging and documentation work. In this video, I discuss three roles that I believe will become increasingly important in the future of IT: ✅ Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE) — solving real customer problems using technology and AI ✅ AI Platform Engineer — building the cloud and infrastructure on which enterprise AI runs ✅ Applied AI Engineer — integrating AI into real applications, products and business workflows I also discuss why freshers and junior developers may face a difficult 2–3 years, why companies cannot stop hiring juniors forever, and how aspiring engineers should prepare for the next generation of software jobs. The future is not necessarily AI replacing software engineers. It may be software engineers who understand AI replacing engineers who don't.
