Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – Fastest Everest Expedition 2022
On 22 May 2022 at 1:00 AM, I began one of the biggest challenges of my life from Everest Base Camp. Unlike a traditional Everest expedition that takes weeks for acclimatization, this was a bold 6-day summit attempt.
By 1:00 PM the same day, I had already reached Camp 2. The climb was tough, but the real challenge was still ahead. I stayed at Camp 2 on 23 and 24 May, resting and patiently waiting for the perfect weather window. On Everest, patience is just as important as strength.
On 25 May, I climbed to Camp 3 and spent the night there, preparing myself mentally and physically for the final push. The next day, 26 May, I moved to Camp 4, the last camp before the summit. I reached in the evening, took a short rest, and at 9:30 PM, under the dark Himalayan sky, I started my summit push.
Step by step, through freezing temperatures, strong winds, and thin air, I kept moving toward my dream. Finally, at 5:02 AM on 27 May 2022, I stood on the summit of Mount Everest, the highest point on Earth. It was a moment of pride, emotion, and victory—every struggle suddenly felt worth it.
After spending a short time on the summit, I began the descent and safely returned to Camp 2 the same day. I rested there for the night, and on 28 May, I completed the journey by reaching Everest Base Camp.
This expedition was more than just a climb—it was a test of courage, determination, and belief. Completing an Everest summit in just 6 days without acclimatization made this one of the most memorable adventures of my life and a proud tribute to Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
