Riding Tokyo’s Cat Train 🚋🐱 | The Setagaya Line, Gotokuji & Sangenjaya

Today, we’re exploring one of Tokyo’s most charming local train lines — the Setagaya Line! We start our journey at Shimotakaido and ride the little tram-like train to Yamashita, where we head to Gotokuji Temple, famous for its thousands of lucky beckoning cats. And then we discover something rather unexpected… a Setagaya Line train covered in cats! 🐱🚋 After visiting Gotokuji, we hop back on the train and continue through Setagaya, walk to Wakabayashi Crossing to watch the train pass through the unusual railway crossing, and finally make our way to Sangenjaya. We finish the day the Japanese way — with beer, sake and a relaxed evening at an izakaya.
