(WORLD RECORD) Kirby Star Allies: Soul Melter EX - Bluster Bomb in 6:45.24

I was doing a lot of Bluster Bomb runs in the background while also recording in the hopes of putting something out. I did not expect to beat my record by 10 seconds on video, but crazy things happen sometimes. Basic explanation of the strategy: Pressing B with Bluster Bomb pulls out a bomb that makes you float upward while having a hitbox. If you touch an enemy, it explodes. This lets you pull out another bomb again, affectionately called air bomb spma. This makes both the direct hit and blast damage occur. When combining the 1.25x elemental damage and the .75x damage reduction from a full team of four, this is 39 damage. A hit of 39 damage that occurs instantaneously and can also be repeatedly instantly. The DPS of air bomb spam is ludicrous. Pull out a bomb too fast and Poppy will just throw it instead. Pull it out too slow and you will lose DPS. There's a rhythm to it. Just do it quick but not too fast. I wish I could say the strategy is just "air bomb spam until everything dies," but it's FAR more complicated than that. Piggyback. Sister Circle timing and cooldowns. AI cooperation in attacks. RNG. Extremely tight timing on tricks. Manipulating boss patterns. Damage boosting. There's so much going on. Not every fight was perfect, but I don't go into runs expecting that. There's way too much happening for every fight to end up going perfectly, and Sister Circle timing means it's actually good to lose a few seconds between Parallel Knight and the Mages. By far the hardest thing is Void. Extremely high HP, the AI is constantly flailing around, and your damage boosts come down to the wire. You also need to not have your nerves explode on the Sparkler and phase 4, and believe me that it's happened a lot. 6:45 is insane. I'm really really happy with this. #Kirby #KirbyStarAllies #Speedrun
