YHS alumnus and El Paso Police Officer David Ortiz

Students, administration, and teachers at Ysleta High School paid their respects to El Paso Police Officer David Ortiz during his funeral procession. Ortiz, who passed away while on duty earlier this week, was a member of the Ysleta High School Tribe of 1989. This show of solidarity exemplified the school’s motto: “Once an Indian, always and Indian.” By: Eddie Romero & Alexis Ortiz
