The writing on the label of the cassette says „...'9IV“ + „CHOCI?“, so there is a 50/50 chance that this is the recording of his appearance at the Tunnel in 1994 (accompanied by Paola). Or it's somebody else. Either way, Basic Channel in between some cheese is always a nice pick.

I must have had a gut feeling some day years after and therefore wrote „Choci“ with a big question mark on the label (instead of writing all important info on it in the morning right after the recording, stupid...). Still I think that it's definitely possible that this is DJ Choci (UK), because it sounds like what a british lad might have thought what ze Shermans, that were not completely stuck in the underground, wanted to listen to and the other guests from the UK in that period were a bit more distinguishable due to specific styles and also mixing techniques. On the other hand... why didn't he play more of his own label (which perfectly fit to the Tunnel of 93-96, I can tell first hand :))?
Unfortunately I heard some really strange rumors of him having converted and now collecting money for a cult that thinks and wants to convince others that music is „forbidden“ and other c r a z y stuff.
IF the rumors are true (I still hope they're not!), then Anjem certainly will be very proud.
Don't forget: Those were the times of pure vinyl mixing, without „cue points“ or „sync buttons“, no need for an „awareness team“, no „Tiki“ code word, no concrete bollards around christmas markets (which were called just t h a t) and block parties and without a lot of other crap we have to deal with now... Welcome!
Respect to all original producers, djs, labels, mcs and dancers from those days (and nights)!
Old school forever.
