Jell-O salads that wobbled, foil trays in front of the television, and a boxed dinner that made it into more than one in four American homes in a single year.
This is a trip around the American supper table of the 1970s: 30 foods that were normal then, from the pantry cans to the lunchbox cakes, while prices climbed and the minimum wage tried to keep up. You will hear how a few of them were made, what they cost in minutes of work, and what became of them.
Did anyone else eat like this? What was the food your house ate on repeat, and what did your mother call it? Tell me in the comments.
