Upgrades & Renovation: Over the years, Fajar Shopping Centre underwent upgrading works under HDB’s Remaking Our Heartland / Commercial Estate Upgrading Programme (CEUP) to refresh its open-air concourses, improve sheltered access links to the nearby Fajar LRT Station (BP10) (opened in 1999), and enhance dining and retail offerings while maintaining its traditional neighborhood character. Greenridge Shopping Centre (Bukit Panjang) Built / Opened: Completed around the early to mid-1990s as a designated neighborhood centre for the Greenridge and Jelapang precincts. Architecture & Community Role: Known for its multi-level, sheltered design and distinctive exterior accents, Greenridge was built to provide residents with convenient access to a 24-hour supermarket (Giant), family medical clinics, neighborhood bakeries, tuition centres, and a bustling food court.
