13 Most HATED British TV Stars

They were in our living rooms every week, and a lot of us could not stand them. A soap conman run down by a Blackpool tram in front of a record audience. An actor reportedly hit over the head with an umbrella in a shop, all because of what he did on screen. A TV presenter once placed second only to Saddam Hussein in a poll of the most hated men in Britain. And the TV judge whose Christmas number one was stopped by half a million people buying a protest record. From Gilbert Harding, Giant Haystacks, Bryan Murray, Wolf from Gladiators and Mark Eden to Jimmy Hill, Paul Daniels, Robert Kilroy-Silk, Brian Capron, Jeremy Beadle, Jonathan Ross, Anne Robinson and Simon Cowell, these are thirteen faces Britain loved to hate, why the public turned on them, and whether we were fair. Every story comes from polls, complaints, the press and the words of the people who worked with them. Which one could you never stand? And who should be in a Part 2? Tell us in the comments.
