8 SACKS?! The Cleveland Browns Have a SERIOUS Problem

What Eight Sacks Exposed About the Browns Offense. This episode examines the central Browns matchup and the evidence behind Cleveland’s next test. The Cleveland Browns lost 17-12 to the Jets on October 11, moving to 3-2 and snapping a three-game winning streak. The Browns finished with a season-low 198 net yards and 13 first downs. With Cleveland trailing 10-6, Deshaun Watson led a touchdown drive capped by a 29-yard pass to Denzel Boston for a 12-10 lead with 6:15 remaining. On a Browns punt attempt with a little over four minutes remaining, the snap slipped through Corey Bojorquez's hands and the Jets recovered at Cleveland's 23-yard line. Braelon Allen scored on a 22-yard run three plays after the Jets recovered the punt, putting New York ahead 17-12; Cleveland's final possession ended on downs. The Browns' official recap says heavy rain continued throughout the game. After Cleveland took a 12-10 lead, Carson Schwesinger strip-sacked Geno Smith and Adin Huntington recovered the fumble, giving Cleveland possession at the Jets' 43 with 4:13 remaining. Cleveland did not capitalize on the Schwesinger-Huntington recovery: the Browns ran once for a minimal gain and then threw two incompletions before punting.
