🚨 After-hours emergency call — the whole supermarket CO2 rack was down, and water was geysering off the roof from a broken 1.5-inch PVC condenser pump line. 🏈 I had to isolate the failed pump, get the backup pump running, and get the CO2 refrigeration rack back online before things got worse. The temporary solution? A small Nerf football that helped me isolate the broken pump and get the backup system running. From there, I pumped down the rack, isolated the compressors and liquid line, removed the broken PVC adapter, repaired the 1.5-inch Schedule 40 PVC, checked the check valve, cleaned out the dusty VFD compartment, and brought the CO2 rack back online. But the repair wasn’t the end of the problem… ⚠️ Once everything was running again, I found the real reason the PVC connection failed — the condenser pump had bad bearings and was shaking violently. I left the backup pump running and ordered a replacement pump from the manufacturer. This is a real-world supermarket refrigeration service call covering CO2 refrigeration, emergency troubleshooting, pump-down procedures, condenser water systems, PVC repair, VFD maintenance, and getting a down refrigeration rack back online. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 — CO2 Rack Down!
