The Philippines You Never Knew: North Luzon by Motorcycle

This is our complete North Luzon Loop motorcycle documentary — a raw, real, 3000+ km ride across Luzon on a small motorbike, from Palawan to Manila, through mountains, beaches, rice country, caves, historic towns, and back home to Palawan by budget ferry. We start with the Palawan → Manila ferry crossing, retrieve the bike at the port, and fight through Manila traffic before escaping north. The journey takes us through Subic Bay, Zambales, Liwliwa, Cabangan, and the rugged road to Coto Mines. We camp in Bolinao, get stuck in La Union traffic, and climb the mountains toward Baguio. From there, we ride the legendary Halsema Highway, freeze through an 8°C night in Atok, push toward Sagada, and continue to Banaue and Batad — including a breakdown and a long trek with no filters. We explore Bontoc, Cervantes, Vigan, Ilocos Norte, and cross into Cagayan Valley, visiting Callao Cave and Tuguegarao City. Then we head east toward Aurora, camp alone in Dinalungan, ride the mountains to Baler, and continue south through Angeles City, Rizal, and Laguna. Finally, we return to Manila, book the ferry, and cross back to El Nido, Palawan on a budget ferry — closing the loop.
