Not everything in my sewing room came from a quilt shop! When we lived in a small town in rural Pennsylvania, a trip to a specialty sewing store often meant a long drive down rural roads. Instead, I found myself wandering thrift stores, HomeGoods, and other local shops wondering: "Could this work in my sewing room?" Over the years I've discovered that some of my favorite quilting and organization tools weren't actually made for sewing at all! Today I'm sharing ten unexpected items that have earned a permanent place in my sewing room. I hope you'll find an idea or two that works for your own sewing space! 🧵 Chapters 00:00 Introduction 00:19 Why I Love Alternative Tools 01:30 Retractable Scissors 03:02 Sharps Container 04:38 Skirt Hanger 05:29 Shower Handle 06:42 Nail Polish Holder 07:40 Cookbook Holder 08:19 Chip Bowl 09:52 Alternative Fabric Marking 11:33 Vintage Mason Jars 12:08 Vintage Teapot 12:55 Closing 💬 I'd love to hear from you!
