Join me on a river boat ride from Iconsiam to Memorial Bridge in the Orange Flag Taxi Boat on Bangkok's Chao Phraya river. This cheap boat ride (only 18 Baht!) lets us move across the city in no time: From Iconsiam Mall all the way to Memorial Bridge (also known as Saphan Phut) on the other side of the river in just under 15 minutes. Going by car would certainly take at least twice as long in Bangkok's traffic! On the way, we'll stop at various piers: Si Phraya, Marine Dept and Ratchawong, before we reach our destination, the beautiful historic Memorial Bridge Terminal. We'll have great views of everyday Bangkok from the river and glimpse some skyscrapers along the way, as well as ferries, longtail boats and wooden houses directly at the waterfront.
