A 180 KM Boat Journey to the Border | What I Know About the Rice Transport Industry

Join us on a real journey by boat from Vietnam to Cambodia to pick up rice and bring it back to Vietnam. In this video, we travel nearly 180 kilometers and share what life is like working on a 240-ton rice boat in the Mekong Delta. I talk about rice transportation, the differences between wooden and steel boats, boat prices, registration, operating licenses, and the challenges of making a living on the river. We also pass through fields of water hyacinths, which are used to make handmade products exported to the United States, Europe, Japan, and South Korea. Later, we install and test a powerful 24W DC spotlight for nighttime travel. Finally, we wait for the rice shipment while fellow boat workers gather nearby and chat together.
