Alone in the Aussie Bush | Artist Residency - Healing from Burnout

Pure sounds straight from the Australian Bush. No talking, just listening to what emerges from nature. Come and join me in the gorge by the waterhole as I setup up one of my small looms and begin weaving my first piece of art on this land after cleaning and setting up the cabin to live in. Filmed on the first day of Spring in the Southern Hemisphere. I found these sounds completely relaxing as I settled into my art in this open air studio. Taking moments between threads to rest througout the afternoon, allowing for wonder, dreaming, breathing; all of this contributes to my nervous system feeling regulated. Dropping into this space is where healing happens. But I am beginning to sense it's a way of life, not just an isolated experience in this secuded artist residency seperate from all of life. I hope the nature sounds in this 'Mid-week reset' gives you an opportunity to take a break, breath, relax, whether it is lieing on the couch, a yoga mat on the floor, or viewing on a screen.
