No roar.” HIS VENGEANCE WALKS ACROSS THIS LAND is a dark gothic power metal hymn inspired by the Legion of the Damned of Warhammer 40,000. Told through the eyes of an Imperial defender, it follows a desperate last stand transformed by the arrival of silent, spectral Astartes. To the survivors, they are the Emperor’s vengeance given form: cold fury beneath burning armour, advancing with measured steps while the enemies of the Imperium discover that their cover offers no refuge. Traitor Astartes fall beneath supernatural bolter fire. A Chaos champion meets his end on the steps where an Imperial commissar was butchered. Each burning round answers a killing the defenders could not prevent. Each fallen enemy gives the wounded another moment to breathe. The hymn moves from the claustrophobia of a collapsing bastion into a sweeping declaration of judgement. Its gothic atmosphere and driving power metal carry the terrible contrast at the heart of the intervention: salvation for the besieged, annihilation for those who came to slaughter them.
