Ffestiniog Railway August 2026

Another annual trip away to my favourite railway the ffestiniog railway where this year marked a decade I've been going. Ffestiniog Railway ran the high peak service over in August. The trains ran was the Mountain Spirit (Porthmadog to Blaanau Ffestiniog), The Woodland Wanderer (Porthmadog to Tan-Y-Bwlch), The Quarryman (Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog) and Boston Lodge Tour (Porthmadog to Boston Lodge). The locos ran over the week and a half for me was the three Double Fairlies Merddin Emrys, James Spooner & David Lloyd George, Single Fairlie Talisin and Hunslet Penrhyn lady Linda.
