Guardians of the Future: How land conservation can build a legacy with the next generation

The future of biodiversity sits largely in private and community hands, but the next generation of stewards is often left 'outside the fence'. This 60-minute webinar brings together trailblazing young conservation leaders from Australia, Aotearoa NZ, Fiji, and Singapore to examine the reciprocal value of intergenerational leadership. Our panelists share insights into how the private and community land conservation sectors can evolve by sharing power with and building capacity for the next generation. They also demonstrate the transformative energy youth bring to the table, from sophisticated entrepreneurial solutions to tireless boots on the ground restoration. This is a call to action for the global conservation community to start sharing power with, and drawing inspiration from, the next generation of nature leaders. Originally recorded on April 29, 2026.
