Lincoln High School - Blues and Beyond (1989) Full Album

Yep, back to the school albums, though just for now. I don't want to clog my channel with them like I did last time. This one comes to us from Lincoln High School, an all-black school which was located in East St. Louis, IL. The school's jazz band began in 1978, quickly becoming one of the Midwest's top performing groups. They've performed for presidents, ambassadors, and many jazz artists. They've also lit up many a jazz festival, from Michigan to Switzerland to Holland. In 1998, LHS merged with East St. Louis Senior High School. 0:00 Blues and Abscessed Tooth 6:13 Manteca 13:22 Misty 17:35 The Heat's On 20:14 Blues Machine 27:08 Stapes 34:08 Slides' Blues
