This is a Totino's Party Pizza. Pepperoni. About two dollars. Turn it over. Enriched flour. Water. And third, the one that's supposed to be the cheese: imitation mozzarella cheese. That's not our word. That's the word printed on the package. And here's the twist: this is not the pizza at number one. The pizza at number one has "made with real cheese" printed on the front. And it's true. Then you read the back. In this video we read the front, the ingredient list and the top of the nutrition panel on 8 frozen pizzas, counting down from Walmart's store brand to a round pizza in plastic wrap: #8 Great Value, #7 Tony's, #6 Red Baron, #5 DiGiorno, #4 California Pizza Kitchen, #3 Caulipower, #2 Totino's and #1 Tombstone. Along the way we keep a count: how many of these names belong to one company? Five say real cheese on the front. Two say imitation on the back. One says both. We also look at why there is no federal recipe for a pizza like this anymore, and what the federal labeling rule says about the word "imitation." Then we show you two frozen pizzas where the list reads like a recipe: Newman's Own and Home Run Inn. Each one has an honest catch, and we tell you what it is. The rule: on a frozen pizza, skip the front and find the cheese line. If the only cheese on that line is cheese, keep reading. If the word in front of it is "imitation," you have your answer. Turn it over. Read the first line. And if it doesn't match the front… put it back. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 0:00 Intro 1:35 #8 Great Value 4:21 #7 Tony's 6:56 #6 Red Baron 9:47 #5 DiGiorno 13:01 #4 California Pizza Kitchen 15:55 #3 Caulipower 18:51 #2 Totino's 22:15 #1 Tombstone 25:28 Newman's Own 27:08 Home Run Inn 29:22 The one rule Disclaimer: This video is for general educational purposes only and is not medical or nutrition advice.
