O Lord, Be Ever Near

This song began with a simple question: What might an old hymn sound like if it were written for today's church? Inspired by the themes of a treasured hymn from my youth, I set out to preserve its message while framing it in a contemporary worship style. The song follows the journey of faith: a pilgrim travelling through this world, learning to trust God's nearness in every season, looking ahead to a heavenly home, and finding hope in Christ, the Morning Star. My prayer is that these timeless truths continue to encourage believers of every generation.
