I Knew Living in Japan Had a Cost. I Didn’t Know It Would Change.

Almost 11 years ago, when I left Belgium, I knew there would be a price. What I didn't know is that the price doesn't stay the same. It keeps changing. In Episode 7 of A Day, a Thought, I talk about my parents getting older in chapters, what my kids miss from not being around my parents, why moving back wouldn't fix the distance, and what I'm doing about it: working with my sister, and building a second home here where my family from Belgium can come as much as they want. I still choose this life in Japan any day. I just want what I'm building to reflect what that choice really costs me. As per usual, I'm open to criticism, to feedback.
