They perform with their own compositions, as well as with new interpretations of classic Thai and Lao folkmusic repertory. The music collective was founded in 2015 by Dutch musician Olivier Schreuder (electronics, compositions, traditional Isan instruments) and Thai musician Angkanang Pimwankum (percussion, traditional Thai instruments). Apichat Pakwan tours since 2016 in Europe & Asia, including sets on the Holland Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, WOMEX in Portugal, Fusion Festival in Germany, Amsterdam Roots, Na Fir Bolg in Belgium, World Experience Festival in Romania, Jai Thep Festival in Chiang Mai, Isan Creative Festival in Khon Kaen, Studio Lam in Bangkok, Vang Vieng Fest in Laos, and Kult in Singapore. They recently reached a large audience with one of their tracks being used in HBO’s hit TV series 'The White Lotus' S3. Apichat Pakwan performs live as a duo, a trio and with full band as quintet. They also regularly DJ and host radioshow 'Outernational Connections' on Amsterdam-based Echobox Radio.
