🎨 Ulaanbaatar’s Famous Coca-Cola Tunnel Just Got a Colorful New Look! Join me as I explore the newly painted walls of the Coca-Cola Tunnel (Кока-Колагийн нүхэн гарц) along Peace Avenue in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. What was once a simple pedestrian underpass has become a much more colorful and artistic space, featuring a collection of murals inspired by Mongolian history, culture, traditional life, calligraphy, and modern artistic expression. Inside the tunnel, you can see beautiful paintings depicting traditional Mongolian figures, historical and cultural imagery, Mongolian script, traditional clothing, music and nomadic life. One of the murals also features a portrait labeled Lkhagvasuren Bavuu, adding a connection to Mongolia's literary and cultural heritage. Other colorful artwork combines traditional Mongolian elements with contemporary designs, creating an interesting contrast between Mongolia’s past and present. I took a walk through the tunnel to capture these new paintings and share what this part of Ulaanbaatar looks like today.
