2025 MCW Community Engagement Spotlight featuring Northeast Wisconsin Community Psychiatry Clinic

The September session of the Community Engagement Spotlight Series highlighted the Northeast Wisconsin (N.E.W.) Community Psychiatry Clinic. The N.E.W. Community Psychiatry Clinic is a non-profit clinic established in 2018 in association with the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW)-Green Bay and the N.E.W. Community Medical Clinic. The free clinic was founded with a mission to provide accessible mental health care to underserved and uninsured patients in the greater Green Bay area. The clinic offers comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and medication management, often to non-English speakers and people from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Since opening, the clinic has grown into an important community resource, committed to fostering healing, hope, and stability for individuals facing mental health challenges. In addition, the free clinic is associated with the MCW Northeastern Wisconsin Psychiatry Residency Program. Operated by a team of volunteer psychiatrists and medical students, the N.E.W. Community Clinic provides compassionate care to patients while reducing stigma and removing financial barriers. Meet Our Facilitator! This monthly session was facilitated by James M.
