Kodachadri - one of best in Karnataka. 10th highest peak in state.Trek Details:Height: 1,343m (4,406 ft) - inside Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary, Shivamogga district Distance from Bangalore: ∼410 km, 8-9 hrsTrek Distance: 11-13 km one way, total ∼22-26 km if both ways. Most people trek up, jeep down. Difficulty: Moderate - beginners with decent fitness can do. 5-6 hrs up. 2 routes: Hidlumane Falls route (via Nittur village) - more scenic, steeper, 7-tier waterfall mid-way Kattinahole Jeep route - longer but gradual, same road jeeps use Best time: Sept - Feb. Now (Oct) is perfect - falls full, green everywhere. Avoid heavy monsoon due to leeches.
