Today’s walk around Ubud was a wet and difficult affair with it hard finding locals to talk to due to the rain. I meet a South Korean man in a market and he tells me about his stay in Ubud as well as asking me some questions. I also speak with a couple from Melbourne who are holidaying for a week, and I meet a DJ from L.A. here on a retreat. Wholesalers delivering wooden bowls, chopping boards, plates etc from java stop for a brief talk on the side of the road after dropping off their delivery which took a ten hour drive to service.
