“For me, God is an experience. It’s not a book.” That simple sentence captures the heart of Guy Perrone’s spiritual journey. After years of searching, studying and doing inner work, Guy came to understand that there is a profound difference between knowing something about God and actually experiencing God. In Chapter 2 of The Divine Within, Santiago Kneeland and Guy explore what happens when spirituality moves beyond ideas and becomes something we actually live. Guy makes an important distinction between three kinds of spiritual gatherings: A reading group. A study group. And a working group. We can read extraordinary ideas. We can discuss them for hours. We can understand increasingly complex concepts. But does any of that actually change the way we live? For Guy, real spiritual work begins when truth moves from the page into our relationships, our decisions and the way we treat another human being. No es un libro». Esa sencilla frase resume el corazón del camino espiritual de Guy Perrone. Después de años de búsqueda, estudio y trabajo interior, Guy comprendió que existe una enorme diferencia entre saber cosas sobre Dios y experimentar realmente a Dios. En el Capítulo 2 de The Divine Within, Santiago Kneeland y Guy exploran qué ocurre cuando la espiritualidad deja de ser un conjunto de ideas y comienza a convertirse en algo que vivimos. Quizá tomarnos a Dios en serio no significa que tengamos que tomarnos a nosotros mismos tan en serio. Porque, al final, ningún libro, maestro o filosofía puede vivir nuestra relación con Dios por nosotros. Dios tiene que convertirse en nuestra propia experiencia.
