Front Window Steam - Caledonian Railway No. 828 | Spa Valley Railway - 07.09.24

Currently on long term hire to the Spa Valley Railway, visiting from the Strathspey Railway in Aviemore, Caledonian Railway 812 Class No. 828 is captured along the entire length of the Sussex Branch Line, from Eridge to Tunbridge Wells West and return. The event in question was the second weekend of the lines second Scottish Steam Up event, which would tie in with celebrations of 828's 125th birthday the weekend prior. Captured from the front window on both legs of the journey, we see what a beast this Scottish locomotive can be along the branch line, proving once and for all that age is but a number with steam locomotives.
