Caledonian Steam Weekend - 9th April 2022

Second visit to the Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells. This time, for the Caledonian Steam Weekend featuring guest locomotives 419 and 828 which are visiting from the Bo'Ness Railway and Strathspey Railway in Scotland. 828 is at the Spa Valley for the 2022 season, with this being the last weekend locomotive 419 is visiting before then moving off to it's next few railway galas. A real treat to see these two iconic locomotives working trains together far away from their homes, with lovely weather for it as well, was nice to also see them up close whilst stationed at Eridge over the duration of the days trains. Big thanks goes out to all the station staff members, volunteers, locomotive crews, ticket inspectors and buffet coach staff for making this a wonderful visit once again.
