FPC Worship - If You Love Me, Then Prove It

Welcome to Worship at First Presbyterian Church! Today we reflect on the difference between saying we will follow God and actually living that commitment. Rev. Scott Nowack shares a message titled “If You Love Me, Then Prove It,” based on Exodus 17:1–7 and Matthew 21:23–32 (NRSVUE). In Matthew, Jesus tells the story of two sons. One initially refuses his father but later changes his mind and goes to work. The other promises to go but never follows through. The parable challenges us to consider whether our faith is expressed only through words or whether it becomes visible through obedience, service, humility, and the choices we make each day.
