Watch the Seoul Capital Area passenger rail network grow from the launch of metropolitan Line 1 service in 1974 to the subway, regional rail, airport rail, KTX/SRT and GTX-A network shown in 2026. This animated map follows verified service openings, extensions, integrations, selected closures and station renamings across Seoul, Incheon’s nine urban districts and 18 neighboring Gyeonggi cities.
