Why AI Will Transform the World by 2030

What will AI actually change between now and 2030? ChatGPT kicked off the AI boom almost four years ago, and 2030 is about four years away. This is my best guess at the next four years, year by year. It starts on your computer, AI agents can already do most ordinary office tasks on a real computer, and the length of job they can finish on their own keeps doubling. Then science, math moves fastest because a computer can check a proof, and self-driving labs and medicine designed for each patient are already starting. Then the physical world, robotaxis, robot trucks, humanoid robots, and drones, which is why military force gets automated before work does. And by 2030, the biggest question, if power takes fewer and fewer people to go along with it, who ends up holding it?
