Khaitan Sugar Mill, West Bengal, India 2006

Khaitan Sugar Mill is near Plassey, famous for a battle where Clive secured Bengal for the British. In 2006, we found some surviving stationary steam here, this clip showing no less than 4 Bellis and Morcom generators in action, some also being badged for Mirlees Watson. Other clips show the Stork mill engine and vacuum pumps at work.
