Khaitan Sugar Mill, West Bengal, India 2006

Khaitan Sugar Mill is near Plassey, famous for a battle where Clive secured Bengal for the British. In 2006, we found some surviving stationary steam here. This is a large Stork dual drive drop valve milling engine, 4009/1937. It is a larger and newer version of similar engines in Java. Other clips will show the Stork vacuum pumps and Bellis and Morcom generators.
