Our Favourite Iconic Teen Movies Based On The Classics

Em revisits the 2000s take on Twelfth Night that basically got her through high school English, while Laura makes the case for a beloved Taming of the Shrew adaptation she’s watched at least 30 times. Then, in an extremely rare reversal of roles, Em gets to be the one who drops a piece of pop-culture knowledge that genuinely shocks Laura, as she discovers in real time that a critically panned movie starring two real-life sisters was actually an adaptation of Sense & Sensibility. And frankly, Laura and Em would like to remind the critics that a movie doesn’t have to be a masterpiece to be an extremely good time. Plus, Em tells a story about taking a bus that has almost nothing to do with any of this, but may be the most important contribution to the episode.
